Privacy Policy

This site is run by Maleeka Narjis. It collects as little as it can get away with, and this page says plainly what that is. If you want anything removed, email support@maleekanarjis.com and it will be deleted.

What is collected, and when

When you give it to me

• Your name and email address — when you subscribe to the newsletter, download a free guide, or send a message through the contact form.
• Your message — if you write one, the text you send is stored alongside your name and email.
• Quiz answers — if you take a quiz on this site, the answers you chose are stored.

Collected automatically

When you sign up or download something, the site records some coarse information about how you arrived:

• Device, operating system and browser — as broad categories only, such as "phone / iOS / Safari". Your full browser identification string is never stored.
• Your timezone and language, and the country implied by them.
• Where you came from — the referring site, any campaign tags in the link, and which page you landed on.
• Your IP address — recorded when you download a free guide or complete a quiz, and used once to look up an approximate country and city.

None of this is used to track you across other websites, and none of it is sold or shared for advertising.

Why

• To send you the guide you asked for, or the newsletter you signed up to.
• To reply when you write to me.
• To understand, in aggregate, which writing and guides people find useful.
• To stop automated abuse of the forms.

Who else sees it

A small number of services handle parts of this on my behalf. Each has its own privacy policy.

Service	What it handles
Brevo	Sending email, and the newsletter mailing list
Kit	A second copy of the mailing list
Google Analytics	Aggregate visitor statistics
ipwho.is	Turning an IP address into an approximate city
Cloudflare Turnstile	Checking that form submissions are human
Hostinger	Hosting the site and its email
Google Fonts, Instagram, YouTube, Dribbble	Fonts and embedded content on some pages

Your details are not sold, rented, or passed to anyone for advertising.

How long it is kept

Subscriber and contact records are kept until you ask for them to be removed, or until they are no longer useful. You can unsubscribe from any email using the link at the bottom of it, which removes you from the mailing list immediately.

Your rights

You can ask to see what is held about you, to have it corrected, or to have it deleted entirely. Email support@maleekanarjis.com and it will be done — there is a single button in the site's admin that erases a person from every record, and it will be used.

If you are in the UK or EU, you also have the right to complain to your data protection authority.

Cookies

This site sets no advertising cookies. Google Analytics sets its own cookies to count visits; you can block them in your browser or with any tracker blocker, and nothing on the site will break.

Changes

If this policy changes, the date at the top changes with it.
